On Wednesday 18th June, Mercury was observed setting during the last 15 minutes a colorful volcanic sunset behind cloud to the south of Transmitter Hill. 48 consecutive 1.5 second exposure still images were captured as Mercury was setting among lingering cloud above the southern shoulder of the mountain and used to produce the accompanying timelapse animation and montage. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in manual exposure mode.
