Details:
The large forest fires burning in northern western Canada filled the skies above the Province of Alberta with a thick blanket of smoke. At sunset this thick layer of smoke acted as a solar filter where 30 minutes before sunset, the sun was just a dim red ball. Using a mirrorless camera to observe the sun through a telephoto lens I was easily able to see the sunspots. Big Lake, St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. Canon R5, RF 200-800.
