It was absolutely stunning! The most colorful aurora I have seen. The best and the brightest part was when I was looking almost directly WEST. I think I got overlapping segments of the auroral wall that created some bizarre splashes of colors. This is was shot from Lake Erie near Westfield, NY right after the CME hit (2-4am). This was the best part of the storm IMHO. The storm started building very quickly right after the hit around 1:30 am. By 2am, there were bright diffuse greens and diffuse pinks. 20 minutes later, around 2:20 EDST, the show began and just kept going till the dawn. I was wishing for a pause button on sunrise. The aurora span a good 120 degrees from west to north east. I was swinging my camera left to right not knowing which part of the storm to pick. What a memorable night!
