During the evening on Tuesday 29th April the two-day old 5% illuminated Crescent Moon was observed appearing in clear sky above Transmitter Hill half an hour after sunset at 5.32 pm. It then descended towards gathering cloud in the vicinity of a brightly colored volcanic sunset twilight arch. Cameras: Hand-held and tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40's in sunset mode.
