Details:
4:58 AM - this morning's astronomical 'Smiley Face', featuring the crescent moon w/ a bit of Earthshine, Saturn to the right, and Venus above with it's bright light creating pillars in the virga (rain falling from the clouds that doesn't reach the ground). The cloud forecast showed a possible open window to the east from Cat. Mtn, so I got an early start and was taking my first photos at 4:45. They all played hide and seek in the clouds, but I had a few real nice opportunities to get all 3. Venus seems to be winking at us, and with that cloud in the center it almost looks like a goat's face! lol
