Details:
Standing quietly, heavy with many layers of wool, fleece and down clothing and snow boots, I stood near Clear Summit, looking North over Poker Flats…waiting for the Aurora to come to brilliant life. My camera at the ready, I clicked the remote immediately after seeing a brilliant yellow flash low on the horizon, and to my surprise these shots captured something I could never have expected with my Pentax K3 Mark iii camera (11mm - 18mm lens), 6s, f2.8, ISO 1600 exposures.
