Details:
On a beautiful still night here in Southern New Zealand, I set up my cameras with very little expectation of seeing an aurora. During the early part of the night, there was a subtle southern glow, with beautiful reflections from the dark water of Hoopers Inlet. However, just after 10pm the southern sky exploded into life, and the aurora australis put on a great show.
