Details:
Around the spring equinox is a great time to see the zodiacal light in the northern hemisphere. I captured the zodiacal light on March 24, 2025, near Mono Lake, California, USA. The zodiacal light appears as a faint, cone-shaped glow caused by sunlight scattering of dust particles in the plane of the solar system. In this photo, the zodiacal light stretches up towards the Pleiades and bright Jupiter. The snow-capped Sierra Nevada Mountains are in the background.
