Details:
Venus was only slightly greater than an 8 degrees from the sun when I captured this image in between some heavy cloud cover. Its 1 degree illuminated disk was quite conspicuous against a very bright background sky. Caution must definitely be used when making observations like this one so close to the Sun. I used a Celestron C925 EDGE HD SCT and a ZWO asi224mc camera.
