Details:
Last night in Alaska, just north of Fairbanks, The Aurora was already going at Sunset...and continue to put on a great show until well after midnight...while I was hiking one of my observing sites in Alaska, the Aurora was very active at Sunset and really kicked up pretty good by 10pm last night! It was a KP 5.6 and really put on a show of bright Super nice colors, a lot of purples last night too! Looking straight over my head...Here is a quick Canon 8mm Fish-Eye Lens shot! Reminds me of a profile of an Owl or bird walking on the horizon with its wings held up over its head.
