Happy Spring Equinox! I just witnessed something very serendipitous in Denali, Alaska this morning, March 20, 2025 at 5:41 am AKDT. While setting up a selfie of me chillin’ on the frozen landscape, what I believe to be a train of SpaceX Starlink satellites photobombed me, leaving behind these mesmerizing blue streaks during this 10-second camera exposure. The satellites were zooming west-to-east (left-to-right). Ursa Major & the Big Dipper pointer stars are in the upper left, I’m pointing to Polaris the North Star at the top, and in the upper right the leading edge of the satellite train is about to sail in front of Cassiopeia’s ‘W’ shaped Queen’s Chair.
