Details:
Here’s a few shots from March 12 & 13, 2025 from out in the Alaskan boondocks. Photo 1 (FLOATING IN THE CLOUDS) ~ Auroras swirl straight overhead through the zenith and the stars of the Big Dipper while moonlit clouds do their own floatin' & swirlin' on March 13, 2025 at 4:23 am AKDT (I can’t help but see a baby elephant blowing a heart in this one;). Photo 2 (SWERVILICIOUS) - A 99% full moon backlit these sashaying clouds and formed a bit of colorful lunar iridescence. Photo 3 (TTFN, Ta Ta For Now) - A nearly full moon sets behind a ridge at the crack of dawn, 8:15 am AKDT (Alaska Daylight Time) on March 13, 2025. We can all only hope for clear skies and eyes on the prize during tonight’s lunar eclipse!
