Details:
During the evening on Friday 7th March, a cumulus cloud was recorded expanding into a weak volcanic sunset display above Murahwa Mountain between 6.20 and 6.36 pm. While doing so two brief unexpected flashes of lightning were observed at 6.30 pm which were later found to have been captured in four consecutive video frames. These are shown in the accompanying full frame composite image, four image montage and looped timelapse animation. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset video mode.
