Details:
In the evening on Saturday 1st March, a bright sunset at 6.15 pm was followed 20 minutes later by the first appearance of the 4% illuminated two-day old Waxing Crescent Moon and Venus between clouds and colorful sunset crepuscular rays above Murahwa Mountain to the west of Mutare. By 6.40 pm both the Moon and Venus were clearly visible descending towards the summit of the Mountain between moving clouds in fading sunset glow. As darkness approached between 6.57 and 7.03 pm, a sequence of 41 three-second exposures were captured from which a nine-image montage and x60 speed time-lapse animation were produced. Both show strong Earthshine on the Moon. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset and manual exposure modes.
