Details:
What a pleasant surprise. Last night we drove out to the bison overlook on I-70 west of Denver to catch a glimpse of the planets in formation. We fought a losing battle with the light vs the the Rocky Mountains to the west for Saturn but we got to see the tiniest sliver of a new moon in a "saddle"- a low lying connector between two mountains. It looked like Mercury was just going to drop in. Not the greatest photo in the world but what a marvelous scene!
