I was sent the IR satellite weather image by Alex Boreham of Florida Tech University and I superimposed it onto the image of the Gigantic Jet captured by the ISS. The area that the GJ fired up at was in the area of some very strong updraft. This is usually what it takes to produce these powerfull Lightning type cloud to Ionosphere events.
