Comet C/2024 G3 ATLAS on 2025 January 28 at 11:10UT. Location Swan Hill, Victoria, Australia. 35S 143E The headless wonder is still visible to the unaided eye with the tail arching 10 degrees long in PA89, above Fomalhaut The first 4 degrees of tail is very bright, and of approximately third magnitude, more obvious than the SMC. Unfortunately, smoke from bushfires interfered with the view. Get your views in before moonlight starts to interfere from Feb 2 Comet altitude 6 degrees. Sun altitude -18 degrees Image details: Canon 6D + Sigma lens at 75mm, f/2.8, iso 3200 13x30sec.
