Details:
Comet C/2024 G3 ATLAS - photographed via an iPhone whilst handheld. This is a 2 second exposure and I regret immensely that I won't have a chance to try this again with a longer exposure using the iPhone on a tripod. The comet has indeed since broken apart although the tail itself should still be visible as a headless "Ghost Comet". This celestial visitor was quite bright after the sun had properly set. It left a silver-blue streak of light in the air that was easily seen with the unaided eye - and this also made it very easy to target and frame with any digital camera. - Taken with the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max with the main (24mm) camera.
