Details:
In the evening on Monday 20th January, the Venus-Saturn conjunction (still close together) was observed descending towards a layer of low dark cloud above fading sunset glow. A sequence of 21 consecutive still images was captured and used to produce the accompanying time-lapse animation. Shortly after dark the cloud cover spread and 20 mm of rain was recorded. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset and night scenery modes.
