Details:
Unfortunately, clouds developed along the Mexico/Arizona border just above the horizon where Comet C/2024 G3 was setting during the evening of 2025 January 21 UT as observed from Tucson, fortunately there were openings between the clouds. The color image shows where the comet was imaged with a red filter, the comet was not visible in the color image. The dark clouds and bright openings in the clouds made it difficult with my limited image processing skills to show the comet very well in the 2 different groups of averaged red filter images. What can be seen is the comet does have a tail 0.5 degrees long but there is no longer a bright comet coma or much of a coma at all, at least as seen in these cloudy bright twilight images.
