No fog in the evening - what a joy! At the beginning of astronomical twilight, the sky was quite clear and Jupiter showed nice details. Later I was looking forward to Mars. But the weather changed. Mars was shaking in double structures or bloated into a fuzzy ball. Only a few blinks of the eye were details visible. Out of 12 AVI series of 6 minutes each, only one was usable. Finally I took the time to look visually with the bino on the C14. The north polar cap shines brightly, the dark areas are rather weak in contrast (compared to photography). It was important for me to capture the “real” color of Mars. And so I tried to match the color of Mars to the visual impression during processing. However, the contrast of the dark areas was increased. 2000 images selected using Autostakkert and scaled to 150%.
