Details:
At 3:54 PM MST, I went out with my telescope and aligned to the sun using a solar filter. I then input the comets coordinates and had the telescope go to it. As soon as I verified the sun was out of the field of view, I took off the solar filter. To my surprise, I could see the comet and a little bit of its tail. One 20 second exposure with my iPhone yielded this photo after adjusting the exposure on the photo app. I never thought I would be able to photograph a comet in the middle of the day. Equipment: Nexstar 8SE telescope, IPhone camera with Nightcap app.
