Details:
North Toluca City (40 miles west Mexico City) I could see an amazing semi occultation of planet Mars by the Moon. Mars was partially hidden and then emerged in a very spectacular way. Even though some clouds were passing over, the excitement of witnessing this astronomical event was at its best. In the photo, we can see clearly the contrast betthe glowing lunar surface and the faint reddish dot of Mars highlights the beauty of such rare astronomical event. This photo was taken with a 8” catadioptric telescope and a planetary camera. I hope this inspires others to look up and explore the wonders of our Universe.
