Details:
At one month intervals, I photographed sunsets over the western horizon from the balcony of my home in Bursa. These photographs reveal the movement and change in the western horizon. Each frame captures the progression of time and the rhythm of nature from a different perspective. Each sunset I have photographed clearly shows the effect of seasonal changes and the differences in the angle of sunset. On March 20 and September 22, the sun sets at true west (270 degrees). However, on June 20 (the summer solstice), the sun's setting point moves northwest to 302 degrees, and on December 21 (the winter solstice) it moves southwest to 239 degrees. This shift reveals a different angle of sunset each month as a result of the sun's seasonal movements.
