Details:
On Wednesday 11th December at 6.26 pm, Jupiter was observed rising in sunset antitwilight above trees on a hill in Cecil Kop Nature Reserve to the NNE of my residence on Murambi Heights. Since being in opposition on the 7th it has been rising 5 minutes earlier each day so there was now sufficient light to record a video and produce a time-lapse animation of it appearing in a beautiful pink Belt of Venus. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
