Details:
When I first saw the video in slow motion I said to myself "this is weird" because the column sprite showed up first and then it was followed by a halo. My Nasa VLF-3 receiver also picked up two pops which means there were two strokes but I had no idea one would be (+) and the other would be (-). Most sprites are triggerred by -CG lightning strikes and the least common ones are the ones triggerred by a +CG stroke. According to Steven Cummer of Duke University, the first set of column sprites below were triggerred by a +CG stroke and then it was followed by a Halo above that was triggerred by a -CG stroke. He also stated that this is unusual but not unheard of. I've been capturing sprites and Gigantic Jets for many years now and have never seen anything like this before. Who knows what else we will find up there in the future. Video at: https://youtu.be/m2PryHbTCu0?si=wU8OPxqQvYMaxZoJ
