Details:
Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) on the evening of 2024 November 9 in moonlit evening skies. The comet (lower right in the image) has faded to magnitude 7.8 and its tail is now only about 2 degrees long as observed in this 6.4 x 5.2 degree field of view image. Open star clusters IC 4756 (near the middle of the image) and NGC 6633 (upper right in the image) show nice clusters of orange and blue stars. The comet is now 600 times fainter than when most of us had our first naked eye view of it back around October 11-12 when it was about magnitude 1.
