Details:
There is a hill in Central Poland near Ostrzeszów (Greater Poland voivodeship) from which, in good conditions, you can spot the peak of Mount Śnieżka, which is 165,3km away in Karkonosze Mountains. I simulated the dates of solar transit at sunset behind the mountain, which occurs twice a year, and I was lucky today. I observed the transit through the LCD screen of my camera and took pictures of the transit and the solar sunspots, and then, after the sunset, I observed the distant mountain with my naked eyes and through binoculars. It was visible perfectly!
