Details:
Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS is still putting on a good show. On the night of 10-23-24 the comet was easily seen in binoculars during late twilight and then easy to see naked eye when the sky darkened further. I estimated its magnitude at +5 with a tail about 7 degrees long. The close-up of the comet head and proximal tail was taken with a 910mm, f/7 refractor, Nikon D850 camera set at 20 seconds, ISO 5000. 10 frames were stacked. The image of the comet and Milky Way taken last night was with the same camera, 30mm lens, f/4, ISO 2000, stack of 10 images. Although receding, the comet is still a naked eye object at night.
