Here are comparative views of the recent (Hunter’s) Full Supermoon rising in the late evening on Thursday October 17th and setting in the early morning on Friday October 18th as seen from Murambi Heights in Mutare. This was compiled from two close-ups of the Supermoon taken a few minutes after rising and before setting and two timelapse mosaics produced from sequences of images captured as the Moon was rising above and setting below the horizons to the ENE and WNW of my location. This was the biggest, brightest and the third in a succession of four consecutive Supermoons in 2024. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
