Details:
After many failed attempts due to clouds, the comet’s low altitude near the horizon, and the interference of the full moon, Friday, October 18, finally brought success. Determined to capture this celestial visitor, I traveled once again to the countryside. Despite clouds arriving at the start of the session, luck was on my side, and I managed to photograph the comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan/ATLAS just as I had hoped. In the image, the comet reveals its long tail in all its glory, with its anti-tail also visible, both submerged in the twilight sky. The horizon, typical of our plains, is framed with a windmill standing tall under a band of clouds, which reflect the glow of nearby towns. While people in the Northern Hemisphere currently enjoy a better view of this event, I succeeded in capturing the scene I envisioned, right here in the rural landscapes of my region.
