Details:
Since I first glimpsed the comet on Saturday when it was it it's closest approach we have been under constant cloud cover, but we had clear skies last night so I was happy to get at least one last chance to see it whilst it is still visible to the naked eye . Even though I missed it at it's best and the bright moonlight did not help, I found it difficult to see with the the naked eye.
I took a test shot and got it in the frame so at least I knew I was looking in the right spot.
I enjoyed this observation as I had more time to look at it with my binoculars, the first sighting was a rushed hectic affair due to it being only 14 minutes from setting and the chance it could dissapear behind the only bit of cloud in the sky at the time, which it did do so I only got to see it for a minute or two. But last night it was higher in the sky and the sky was completely clear so I could afford to take my time. A father came along with his young daughter to try and see the comet and I helped point it out to them, it was so nice to see her reaction at seeing her first comet.
This image is a stack of 50 5 second exposures at ISO 500. I could not see the antitail with my 10x50 binoculars and it is not visible in the single exposures.
