Details:
I was at the Montgomery Hill Observatory during the evening Astro Lab class setting up the telescopes for the students' lab workshop. The comet was naked eye visible even with the light pollution from downtown San Jose. The students and faculty were excited to see the comet. I used a 135mm f/2 Rokinon lens with a Nikon D5300 at ISO 1250, 50 X 1.25 sec. exposure.
