Details:
Hundreds of people travelled up to the Teide massif to catch a glimpse of the comet. Tripods, cameras and extremely good humour were everywhere. We saw nothing of the comet on the small camera displays. We focused on Venus and hoped that our orientation by the setting sun (aiming for 3.4 degrees to the west) was correct. And now, on the large monitors at home: the surprise despite the hazy clouds near the horizon. The window of visibility was 5 minutes.
