Details:
Clouds prevented me from seeing the spectacular aurora borealis on October 10/11, but the next day there was an almost cloudless sky and after sunset I went out of town with friends. We didn't see the aurora borealis, but the photos showed a vast red arc stretching across the entire sky from East to West. My friends said it was a SAR arc.
