Details:
The Oct10/11 aurora from Slovenia 45N (remember that for us Europeans auroras are much less common that in USA because the geomagnetic pole is in the American continent). Knowing of the G4 prediction, and though a forecast for mostly overcast/rainy weather, I persevered. When at 22-00UT (after a rain and moonset) I stayed in this rural location, unexpected wind kept the sky partially free from clouds, and just at that time happened the G4.7 (almost G5!) peak. Unfortunately, due to the clouds spreading city lights (although 30min distant), in this phase I got only SAR, incolor at naked eye, but in photo intense and high up to zenith. At the end of the G4.7 phase it started raining. I moved to another location and later, literaly under light rain, I captured a purple sunlit aurora in holes between clouds (sunlit aurora happens at night before twilight when high atmosphere is sunlit: UV ionize N2 preparing N2+ ions, which undergo a particular purple aurora emission).
