Details:
Takes a near G5 to get aurora like this here in southern UK. The initial shot was moments after the magnetosphere snapped at -45nT Bz solar wind 0023Z on 11th October, and you can really see the power between darkness (left) and strong pillars (right) which eventually continued right overhead. Nikon D610 + Tamron SP 24-70mm Zoom Lens. F/2.8 ISO 400/640 6 seconds then developed in Lightroom.
