iPhone 14 pro from our front yard in Ardsley, NY, just north of NYC. 7:25 pm local daylight time. Looking northeast from our front porch (street light to our north makes it hard, so the placement was great!)
We saw a facebook post from National Weather Service Philadelphia showing a photo of the aurora at 7:15pm, earlier than I thought we'd be able to see it. So we recorded the rest of Jeopardy! and went outside and there it was. A reminder that some natural phenomena are simply beautiful.
