Details:
We drove about 15 minutes outside of Battle Creek and pulled off on the side of the road hoping to see something. As soon as our eyes adjusted, we were in awe. The auroras stretched across the whole northern half of the sky, and up from the horizon to directly above our heads. Beautiful greens and reds easily visible rippling and pulsing overhead. It was spectacular and not something we often get to witness down here in southern Michigan with our bright city lights. Photos are all simple 3s exposures taken with my iPhone 11.
