Details:
Just got back in after round 3 of photographing the geomagnetic storm which is now a G3. Earlier in the evening I was pleasantly surprised to capture a SAR arc. I have captured SAR’s before but was unaware of what they were at the time. This SAR was just visible to the naked eye and spanned almost half the sky. The arc started in the NE and ended in the SW. I was really stoked and almost giddy as I was able to finally photograph this phenomenon knowing what it actually was. Surprisingly it lasted for over 30 minutes.
