Details:
I walked all the way to the end of our driveway this evening, and set up the camera pointing toward the north. In our light pollution, I could see nothing, but I had a feeling (based on the appearance of the auroral oval) that a sub-naked eye aurora was in progress, and sure enough, a red and very faint green aurora was visible on the camera's screen. I processed this RAW image in Canon DPP software, boosting the contrast and saturation - no other changes were made. This was shot with a Canon Rebel XTi and a 24 mm NIKKOR lens, a 60 second exposure @ f/4 and ISO 400 at 21:04 local.
