Details:
It was a very unusual sunset mirage with long-lasting green flashes. Normally green flashes last only for a second or two. However, the last green flash in this sunset lasted for more than 10 seconds. The long-lasting green flashes are so-called sub-duct green flashes. They are observed, when an observer is located below the duct. Green flashes appear at the uppermost limbs of the miraged sun. A multi-layered inversion was responsible for this sunset mirage. That is why some green flashes, one of which was actually violet, appeared in the uppermost limbs of the miraged sun that were located below the other images of the miraged sun. The last bits of the sun disappeared more than 7 minutes before the forecasted sunset time. Here is the video of the sunset https://youtu.be/5fwGs-bP68w?si=g88ZeEsoIajgyn1m
