Details:
Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS was faintly visible above the Sangre de Cristo mountains near Santa Fe. This image is a 1 second exposure at iso 1600 using a Canon 90D. Taken at 6:05 AM on 9/26/2024 from White Rock, New Mexico. At the rate it is brightening it should be easy to see in a day or two, but right now binoculars are a big help. From my location it was about 10 degrees south of East and about 3 degrees above the mountains (5-6 degrees above the horizon). A single image (not stacked) processed using PixInsight software.
