Details:
On Saturday 21st September, one day before the Southern Hemisphere Spring Equinox, the smoke-hazed and cloud-marbled Sun was photographed descending and setting behind the summit of Murahwa Mountain due west of Murambi in Mutare. Visibility was again affected by smoke-haze from dry season burning of vegetation and the Sun was partially obscured by wisps of slow moving approaching cloud which changed its colour and gave it a marbled appearance. The latter was captured in a sequence of 36 still photographs taken in three minutes which were registered and used to produce a colourful slide show. The smoke-hazed Sun was also recorded setting in a three minute video which was converted into a x15 speed time-lapse. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
