Details:
This has been marked on my calendar for quite some time as it is the only eclipse that occured on my birthday in my lifetime, the next time that happens is in 2062 (total lunar) If I am lucky I might be in with a chance of seeing that. The sky was clear at moonrise and the forecasts showing it would remain clear , some did say scattered cloud but most were saying clear when the partial phase starts. It was a bit disappointing when I looked out my window at around 02:30 BST to see the sky was overcast. The clouds were moving quite fast and I had the occasional glimpse of the moon through some thinner patches of cloud, then some larger breaks in the clouds started to appear, I could even see a few stars and by the time the partial phase had began the clouds had all but gone and so I was able to see almost the entirety of the partial phase. These 2 photos are from maximum eclipse and the end of the partial phase.
