Details:
The usual Guadalupe marine layer and accompanying fog was absent this evening and the Sun had just set over the western skies providing a clear view of this partial Moon eclipse. It was twilight and the skies were a beautiful, deep blue color. Our eyes are able to compensate and see both the deep blue sky and detail in the Moon, but most single lens reflex (SLR) cameras cannot. Therefore I thought I’d combine two separate exposures of this eclipse in one animation. The first exposure reveals detail in the moon; the second exposure reveals the beautiful, deep blue, twilight skies.
