Details:
An aurora in the dawn twilight on September 17, 2024 after a night of a major Kp6 to 8 storm and aurora show. The aurora kicked up again at dawn, with green curtains and with blue rays lit by the Sun at high altitude. Here they reach to the zenith in the fish-eye lens view taking in most of the sky. Orion and the winter stars are at top to the south — north is below here, with the Big Dipper at bottom. Jupiter is the brightest object at top right. The normal wide-angle image taken later with a brighter dawn sky, shows the aurora still visible and showing some blue sunlit rays.
