Here are a few sunspot images from today in h-alpha. Filaments near sunspot 3811 had an eruption at about 15:20 UP, causing an M1.5 flare. I attached a comparison image of this sunspot from just before to just after the flare. The sunspot area looks completely different! I also attached a couple other sunspots that were not as cool! 127mm f/9.4 refractor, Quark-C/Lunt 40mm double-stack filter, ASI174mm camera.
