Details:
In larger sunspots like the heart shaped AR3792 you can come across a phenomenon that is quite common, yet rarely ever captured on video: Umbral Flashes. These rapid oscillations can be seen here in a 29-minutes timelapse sequence. The animation took about half a million frames, captured with a Skywatcher 150 mm f/5 with PST H-alpha parts and ASI290MM camera. AS!4 was used to create the 300 separate stacks that went into this GIF movie.
