Details:
I have recorded "Orange Aurorae" on several occasions during SSC 23 from New Zealand. The first image was from the Great Geomagnetic Storm of March 31st,2001. A red ray bundle suddenly turned orange for no more than 60 seconds! 13 months later we had a 20 minute substorm that was completely orange for the whole duration! 16 months later we had a similar substorm of only 10 minutes duration that was completely orange. Interestingly in 46 years of observing the Aurora Australis from Geo Mag Latitude -46 degrees, those were the only times that I recall seeing orange aurorae until the night of May 11th 2024!
